As well as providing a reconditioning service we also do fu ll engine rebuilds on both 2 and 4 stroke engines. This service is also available to the trade.

Classic bike restoration is a bit of a passion here at Moto Technic. We have a great affection for old British bikes as well as early Japanese, German and Italian machines. Rather than billing on a parts plus labour billing system as we would do on regular work we charge an all inclusive project price.

Full race preparation service is now available. Race bodywork, lightweight wheels, quick action throttles, full exhaust systems and engine tuning are all available. Talk to us about a fully inclusive season price for your trackday or race bike.

Here at Moto Technic we can restrict any bike to meet the legal requirements. If you have passed your test or need a bike de-restricted for trackday use we are only too happy to oblige. All our restriction work is certified in line with insurance requirements.

We weld aluminium, steel, stainless steel and titanium. Repairs to footpeg mounts, adjusting and repairing hard luggage as well as fixing damaged frames are just some of jobs that we do. We can also weld exhausts, engine covers and subframes. We use a tig welder and an MMA welder.

Original and aftermarket shocks can be expensive to replace once they have failed. Rather than spending a fortune on new equipment bring your old shock to us and we can rebuild it, with new seals, springs, oil or gas at a fraction of the cost of replacing it.

If it’s all gone horribly wrong we can help. We operate a cost effective and speedy crash repair service. All our work is, of course, covered by warranty. We will also work with your insurer to help process any paperwork as efficiently as we can.

One of us got an award for European Ducati Technician of the year and even managed to get it more than once, however he’s very modest so we won’t mention names. In addition to servicing European machinery we also cater for all Japanese bikes and we’ve even worked on some of the better Chinese stuff. If you prefer to do your own work we can supply you with a service pack and then check it over for you once you’re done. We can also do all those other annoying jobs such as replacing fork seals, brake pads and C&S kits.

Whether it be a set of hard wearing Tourances for your GS, a set of dual compound Bridgestone touring tyres to last the pace of your daily commute or Pirelli slicks for your trackdaying pleasure we can supply the lot. We have recently invested in a brand new tyre machine and balancer. We also fit tyres to loose rims and can fit tyres supplied by you.

While some elements of servicing a modern motorcycle, such as electronic fuelling set ups, have become complicated enough to demand expensive diagnostic equipment and trained personnel to operate them thankfully doing an oil change will always just be an oil change. Simply give us a call on 01 490 8947, tell us what you need and we’ll take a small credit card deposit. Nine times out of ten we’ll have everything you need the next working day and if you can’t collect, don’t worry we can always stroll over to the post office and mail it to you.

We pride ourselves on our customer service. Before we do any work on your bike whichever one of us that will be working on your pride and joy will take the time to talk to you about what is needed. The technician working on your bike will then be your point of contact while we are working on it all the way from you delivering it to us to collection upon completion of the job.
